Harmonicas are magic. I paid $7 for my first Hohner American Ace when I was a teenager and was thrilled to be able to play along with 'Love Me Do' by the Beatles that same night. It was an introduction to a much, much wider musical world that's been expanding ever since.It's brought me to: performing with Ramsey Lewis, Dave Alvin, Bill Anderson (the Grand Ole Opry) and Orchestra of St. Luke's (Carnegie Hall/Ricky Ian Gordon's 'The Grapes of Wrath').We're now living in a true harmonica renaissance with the instrument's full potential still being explored.
